There are points in our lives, that divide it in before and after. And no matter what you thought to know, one day can turn it all around. Like going down the highway with full speed, when all of a sudden something appears in front. And just before you realize, you’re embracing something in a way you'd never expect.
How do you pass this point of loss? How can you start, when all you know is how it was before?
Someone is pulling weeds out of the concrete, while you're just watching this decaying scenery. There is so much in giving a hand to one in need.
You neither lead nor follow, you’re alone. But that’s for a reason and decision you’ve made. It’s not like you have ruined everything and everyone.
Well nothing ends the way you thought. Everything tends to start off something new.

Another day amongst those empty streets. No human soul, nobody’s going to be seen. We left our homes ages ago, to leave behind these ruins that we used to know. They tried to tear apart. We didn’t break. So we went far away, for our own sake.
We spent our youth in a place filled with rubble and ash. Each day the same, no one dared to break the rules. Forsaken habits, no thoughts that left these solemn grounds. But we were different, where others saw blaze only we saw ruins.
And though this may seem harsh, my dear, it’s not our time, it’s not our place, for growing strong, for growing great. To be the ones we wished to be. And though this may seem harsh, my dear, we felt the urge to be relieved. Because our message is what they really need to hear.
We left these streets behind. We couldn’t bear to spend our lives amongst those fools and amongst their deafening lies of what it means, to have a home and to be proud of, where you belong.
In all those dark times, when the sky’s not to be seen, a glance of light, imagination. But no one’s longing to be free.
To be heard. To be known. Not be told, what to do. To have faith. To stand up. To let go. To be strong. To be grateful and choose to pursue: Tear down these ruins we used to know.

I see my youth, it feels gone so long, wrapped up in a pile of trash bags. I can't stop thinking - though you know better - for what it's worth to spend your life. From the village where it started to the town where it ends. When life means nothing - there's more to it - but living, that is far from enough.
Just show some will. It’s what you should long for. This is all I ask for. I feel this love for everything, that strives to stay alive.
These days I keep dreaming, though I'm staying awake late. Because nights are for roaming and drifting away. It's the first day of something, that's supposed to be large. Something terrific and bright, floating in such great height.
At least pretend.

You ask me, “what is the weight of the world?”, before you go to sleep. Storms may pass and seasons go, but it won’t change your needs. A bed that’s warm, a house, a home and I am glad that I can be a friend and listener to your stories. You’re more than good to me. I close the curtains, lay beside you and just like you I’m fast asleep. Nothing as trivial as that, what could mean more to me? We share the same views on importance, take our time within these four walls that we call our own. And for some time we just stand idle.

I know about all of your scars and where you got them. The same way around you clean my wounds and keep me going. Nothing’s too late. Let’s make us whole. This time we’re more than fractures. The rain has stopped and finally the both of us can rest now. A tender smile, a gentle touch, for now I think to know the answer.
You asked me, “what is the weight of the world?”. I’d say the world’s a feather.

Let’s tell ourselves, that we’ll be fine and keep on walking down this road on a summers night. Let’s fill our lungs with air and close our eyes. Just for this very moment we’re alright.
No glance into our future days, no memory of what has been. These lights and sounds, we’ve never felt so free
Where can we go tonight, to leave our ghosts behind? These tearing shadows, that always rob our lives. Put on your shoes we’ll leave and do it fast. It’s just the four of us and this will last.
Until the day we die, until our souls collide, in some Elysium. We won’t be prepared, but we couldn’t care less.
Let’s make this last.
So keep in mind, we’re free tonight.
